I I n 1997, Steve Marshall and brother Eric, started playing together as a church based gospel bluegrass band that has since
developed into a well rounded traditional bluegrass band. Although the songs change and grow, they never lost sight of where they started and try to present a nice mix of secular and gospel songs.
The band personnel has changed over the years as well including many talented musicians and vocalists. The current lineup includes:
Steve Marshall mandolin & guitar Lead, Tenor, & Harmony vocals
A long time follower of traditional bluegrass music, Steve’s high vocals and instrumental work reflect a strong influence by The Stanley Brothers and Larry Sparks just to name a few. Steve lives with his family in Mt Airy NC.
Eric Marshall banjo Lead & Harmony vocals
As spokesman for the group, Eric’s entertaining stage presence is well known by the band’s followers. Along with strong vocals, he frequently contributes original material to the band’s list of songs. Eric lives with his family in Mt Airy NC.
Patrick Lindsey guitar & mandolin Lead & Harmony vocals
Joining the band in January 2006, Patrick instantly fit into the group’s style of high energy traditional bluegrass. His bass vocals compliment the band’s signature gospel quartet numbers as well. Patrick Lives with his family in the Fairview community outside Galax VA.
Ben Marshall guitar Lead & Tenor vocals
After following along with the band as a child for years, Ben has grown into a talented musician in his own right. Still only a teen, he contributes harmony vocals as well as co-writing original songs for the band. Ben lives in Mt Airy NC.
Ian Golding bass Lead & Harmony vocals
Although only a teenager, Ian's understanding of traditional music and his ability to play go well beyond his years. His vocals are clearly influenced by the likes of Charlie Sizemore and Sammy Adkins just to name a few. Ian lives in Mt Airy NC.
